Cape Closure Beautiful Colonial period solid silver cape pin.
The front of this pin features a Greek soldier with a winged horse sitting on his head, and its adorned with a series of raised berries; every third one is an image of an angel or gargoyle. The back has a silver bar or holding pin. This half dollar sized piece is being sold as found. This is truly a unique and beautiful item, worn by Colonial Virginia gentry as a symbol of success and wealth.

Mourning Pin Beautiful Civil War era mourning pin.
This piece is inlaid with onyx and sports the t-bar connector so typical of this time period (actual bar is missing). The center is heavy glass, apparently to showcase a tiny photo or lock of hair. We've tested this piece as 10K gold and measure it at just under the size of a quarter. Note the initials (TMG) on the back and the configuration of each 3 stone cluster resembles the clover leaf of the Second Corps. A few smaller pieces of onyx are missing but still a lovely displayable piece. We don't want to sell it for scrap.
Item MS9027   $149.99

Gold Pin Gold-framed Civil War photo from a Civil War site.
This frame has the t-bar connector that is typical of the Civil War period. We have tested the frame and it tests 10k gold. This piece is in good condition with only a small dent in the back, probably due to the softness of the gold. All in all a beautiful, dainty - wearable - piece.

Silver Box Beautiful, ornate Portuguese silver box .883 Silver.
This lovely piece measures 4" long by 3-1/8" wide (it is 1-1/8" high to the lid). Weighing 9 ounces, it is in excellent condition. The eagle hallmark of Portugal appears on the bottom along with the number 833. Prior to 1938, a Roman numeral appeared under the eagle's head. This indicates that this box was crafted after that time, though we don't know the exact date.
Item MS9014   $169.99

This piece was sewn into the neckline of a garment. It has a rose in the center. It also has thistles and three leaf clovers around it. It stands 1-3/4 inches high. Note the attachment hooks on the back. It was recovered at Spotsylvania Court House, Virginia.

Silver Navajo Bracelet Heavy, Sterling Silver bracelet with beautiful turquoise stone.
Navajo craftsman, J. Nelson, created this lovely silver bracelet. The beautiful, turquoise stone (1/2" x 3/4") is mounted securely and floats slightly above the band. The sterling silver band measures 2-1/2 inches (diameter)at its widest and the opening in the band is 1.25". Band is 5/8" wide and 1/8" thick resulting in an overall weight of 3.3 ounces. The artist's hallmark "J. Nelson/Sterling" is stamped inside. This is indeed a lovely piece!

Pink cameo A "little lady" Cameo.
Excavated in a Civil War camp, this cameo is attached to an unusual metal mounting (appears to have some gold gilt). She measures 5/8" x 7/8" w/her profile protruding 1/4" and has retained her soft pink color. I found this pretty piece along with a CS tongue and wreath and a rare VMI button (Robinsons extra rich bm.)
Item MS9009   $89.99

White cameo Another delicate, white cameo.
Also excavated in a Civil War camp, this lady has softened from her years in the ground. Just 5/8" x 1/2" in size, a sweet collectors item from the period. This piece has not had much cleaning and remnants of the post remain.
Item MS9010   $89.99

Partial Baby Rings Two tiny baby rings found in Civil War Union camps.
The partial with the clover is 1/4 inch by 1/4 inch, with inlaid gold top half only. (The material of construction seems to be brass, with a heavy gold plating.) This ring was recovered in a Civil War camp near Westover Church in Charles City County, Virginia. The other has a circular area of gold; it is a touch larger than the four leaf clover piece.
Only partial momentos but displayable collectibles from Virginia.
Item MS9007   Both for $16.99

Gold Pin Delicate, Victorian Pin.
Victorian 10k gold pin with a center stone faceted amethyst. We estimate it to date to the 1880s. I personally dug it in Ashland, Virginia five years ago. Minor damage was done when pulled from under a root. It's complete, but fragile, due to its design. When the pin is closed, it measures 2.125" long. It could be professionally repaired or displayed as is.
Item MS9006   $89.99

Watch Fob Nice, Civil War Period Watch Fob. The decoration on this fob appears to be gold plated mounted on dark, grossgrain ribbon - a nice keepsake, still in working order, this ribbon on this watch fob measures 1 1/2" wide and is 4" long. Nicely displayed in a 5" x 6" Sgt. Riker Display Case (glass top).
